Current Focuses
Hello all! I'm senior in high school, about to graduate in a few months. I decided to start this blog because I wanted to post stuff that just wasn't about writing.
A few days ago I found this guy called Thomas Frank. Here's his website: collegeinfogeek.com, and I highly recommend it! One of the first things he says to do is create an Impossible List. An Impossible list is different from a bucket list, but I'll let him explain! Here's is where he got the idea: world’s first impossible list. Before I begin my Impossible List, I thought I would first create my Current Focus list, which will go on top of my Impossible List. My Current Focus list will, as you could probably guess, list my five current things I'm going to focus on. After I list those, I am going to list the five things that I just completed. Thomas Frank says that this forces you to not rest on your "laurels." Knowing that you completed those five activities will boost your self confidence to complete five more.
So here is my Current Focus List:
1. Write Cardinal Newman essay.
2. Finish Gold Award project.
3. Get my driver's license.
4. Get my true black belt.
5. Work out for an hour every day.
And here are the five things completed.
1. Finish History
2. Finish Econ
3. Get a black belt with a white stripe.
4. Start exercising regularly.
5. Start planning for college.
Next post I'll write my Impossible List, which you can also categorize by type! Thanks for reading! :D
