Impossible List

Hey, guys. Two articles ago I promised that I would give you my Impossible List. Here are five things that I want to accomplish. 1. Become successful at college and graduate from said college. This is not something that I'm seriously worried about, but you might actually be astonished at how much work it takes. Through high school I've always done hard work, but Christendom promises that it will be harder. Also, I want to join lots of clubs and extra-curricular activities and actually be successful at what I do. While it will all be hard, (I have to pay TWELVE grand on my own, but we won't talk about that now), I hope that I will graduate successfully. 2. Actually get my black belt in karate. This is actually pretty gosh-dang hard. I've been training at my dojo for almost six years. When I test, the judges expect me to remember, and show, everything that I ever learned. I failed at this at my last testing in November. I forgot two of my katas, or empty hand forms,...

Skiing

I decided to write different topics of blog posts between college planning posts, just to keep things interesting! As my bio says, one of my favorite things to do is ski. There's a mountain called Mount Sunapee about forty minutes from my house. I've been skiing for ten years now, and have been taking lessons at Sunapee for about six. My friends and I used to have to wear cards on lanyards around our necks. This way, we wouldn't have to pay for a day pass. The chairlift attendants would scan our cards and we could go up. However. They decided to change things on us. Now we have a card that we keep in our pockets. In order to get on the chairlift, we have to ski through these TINY, LITTLE doors that reads our cards. Yesterday, my friend tried to ski through the doors. Unfortunately, if you don't ski through them quickly, they will close on you. This must have happened to my friend, because he fell over the doors, thus making the chairlift people's day. I th...

Current Focuses

Hello all! I'm senior in high school, about to graduate in a few months. I decided to start this blog because I wanted to post stuff that just wasn't about writing. A few days ago I found this guy called Thomas Frank. Here's his website: collegeinfogeek.com, and I highly recommend it! One of the first things he says to do is create an Impossible List. An Impossible list is different from a bucket list, but I'll let him explain! Here's is where he got the idea: world’s first impossible list . Before I begin my Impossible List, I thought I would first create my Current Focus list, which will go on top of my Impossible List. My Current Focus list will, as you could probably guess, list my five current things I'm going to focus on. After I list those, I am going to list the five things that I just completed. Thomas Frank says that this forces you to not rest on your "laurels." Knowing that you completed those five activities will boost your self confide...
